My name is Destiny, and I’m a stylist at A Perfect Hue Salon! While I initially pursued a college path as a psychology major, my passion for cosmetology fostered since high school. I suddenly felt the urge to pursue my beauty dream! I’ve been in the industry for 2 years now. I’ve been fascinated by makeup and hairstyling since middle school, learning through YouTube beauty gurus and practicing on my younger sisters. Along with my cosmetology license, I hold certifications in lash extensions and Dermalogica service safety for Makeup Artists, reflecting my commitment to expanding my skills in the beauty industry.
Being the oldest sibling, I’m all about making sure everyone’s looked after and going the extra mile. I like to think of myself as a “hair-apist,” infusing every touch with some love. My top priority is healthy hair and a look my client can easily maintain at home. I enjoy doing layered haircuts, lived in color, blowouts.
I thrive on making clients feel beautiful, nothing beats the confident smile that lights up their face when they see the final look. Whether it’s someone preparing for a special occasion, or parents seeking a well-deserved break, I love being a part of their beauty journey and creating an experience to remember.
I’ve had the pleasure of taking a cutting class with Shannel Mariano, known for her visually engaging cutting theory class. Looking ahead, I’m eager to expand my skills further, with a focus on styling and possibly extensions. Continuous learning is the key to evolving in this industry, and I’m excited about my journey ahead.
In my downtime, you’ll catch me eating out with my boyfriend, getting hands-on with DIY projects, hitting trails for a hike, at festivals, at the gym, and of course, catching up on some sleep!
